Yes folks Nintendo’s newest console, the 2DS. It’s pretty obvious what it is, a 3DS without 3D! WHICH IS THE WHOLE POINT OF THE 3DS! It’s basically a cheaper version (30 dollars off) of the 3DS which can play 3DS games WITHOUT 3D! BLOODY GENIUS! If you have 30 dollars more then i recommend you to buy the 3ds. Oh yeah, and the screen can’t fold so have fun trying to put it in your pockets guys!
Game and Wario is the next game in the series for the WiiU. Instead of “microgames” used in the previous games it has full minigames similar to Nintendoland. All of the characters are back and they all have a unique game.
Arrow (Wario): Arrow is a game where you defend your strawberries from waves throughout waves of robot Wario’s. You use the game pad to shoot the robots with arrows shaped like Wario’s nose. If a robot/robots pass through your defences they will jump on your gamepad causing you to squish them and SAVE THE STRAWBERRIES!
Taxi (Dribble & Spitz): In Taxi you use the gamepad to drive a taxi and take people to their desired area. The gamepad show a first person view of the driver and the TV show a top down view of the map. But this is Game and Wario, there has to be a twist! There is, While taking passengers in your taxi there is also an alien attack happening. You must shoot your way to the destination shooting the alien U.F.O’s. It’s a weird and fun combination.
Now for a multiplayer game, Fruit (Penny) In this crazy and fun game one person controls a thief who is disguised as a citizen. The thief uses the gamepad and tries to steal fruit but trying to stay hidden. The other players are agents and must identify the thief. Now and then clues appear such as pictures with the thief in the frame but he is also around other people. At the end of the game the agents must choose the person who they think is the thief. If no one chooses the thief he wins, but if some one chooses the thief that player wins.
These are only 3 of 16 games that could be played by one person, or up to five! It’s a great game to play with friends and by yourself!
The newset console from Nintendo just came out recently and I got it for my birthday. It has games like: Scribblenauts unlimited, Nintendoland, New super mario bros U, Rabbids land, Assasins creed 3 and much more! There are games that i want to get like Pikmin3 but it’s coming out at 2013. The controller is smooth, comfortable to hold and easy to use.
The games are really fun especially Nintendoland. Nintendoland has 12 different games: Mario chase, Luigi’s ghost mansion, Animal crossing sweet day, Yoshi’s fruit cart, Pikmin adventure, The Legend of Zelda: Battle Quest, Metroid Blast, Takamaru’s Ninja castle, Donkey Kong’s crash course, Octopus dance, Balloon trip breeze and Captain Falcon’s twister race.
This console is fun, but since there aren’t much games out yet, so it gets a bit boring. But i reckon when games start releasing it’ll be a great console.
I recently got a new game called Awesomenauts. It’s a 2-d plat-former shooter. It has 12 characters (and counting) ranging from speed, strength and range. It is made by a company named Ronimo games.
The aim of this game is to defeat the opponents while also trying to destroy their drilling core. The drilling core is a machine to drill gold and silver orbs from the ground which could be used for money. each team has a drilling core which means whoever breaks the opponents core wins. But there is one catch. In every map there are a number of turrets for each team. They automatically shoot the oppenent when they get close and they won’t hurt you. But the other teams turret can hurt you. You can break a turret by hitting it until it gets destroyed. The core though is not protected by anything so its your teams job to defend it.
The characters are:
Froggy G: Story: Froggy G’s is a gangster frog who is looking for trouble. He grew up in the bad side of town which was the reason he became a gangster. As he grew older he went to jail for a 5 year sentence and had to stop his gangster ways. When he came out of jail he became a beatboxer, streetdancer and a rapper. Later on he made a few songs but unfortunately they didn’t earn him much. In order to make some money he hired a gun (which was a fish) and used his gangster moves in battle. Later on he joined the Awesomenauts. Gameplay: Froggy G is a fast character and with his fish gun is a good combination. The fish gun is short rangeed so it doesn’t shoot that far (you can upgrade his weapon to shoot further). He can also dash piercing through enemies doing damage (With and upgrade this could make his enemies move slower). This move could also be used as an escape. Froggy G is a character who is best used for attacking and defeating enemies.
Sheriff Lonestar: Story: Once upon a time at the heart of the milky way lies the Bovinoin system ruled by cow like people. In Bovinion they made a story to scare little calves (because they’re cows) when they are misbehaving. Their parents would say “don’t be bad or the cowboy will get you with his lasso”. Soon a wealthy Bovinion influenced by this message bio-engineered a cowboy and caged it up into one of his many parks. The cowboy eventually escaped and after wrangling the entire planet, rode of into the sunset on a rocket. The cowboy had renamed himself as Sheriff Lonestar. Gameplay: Sheriff Lonestar is a charcter similar to Froggy G but more cowboy-ish. He has a pistol that shoots medium range, dynamite, and a holographic bull which can push enemies away. Because of his medium ranged pistol it makes Lonestar good for close combat. His dynamite is good for harming gangs of enemies. (Information provided by my friend Imaeatyou)
Leon Chameleon: Story: Leon’s life is of crime, women and borrowing without returning. He is a French Chameleon who lost his arm in an unfortunate jeu de boules (bowling) incident and had replaced it with a sabre. Leon joined the Awesomenauts for some quick cash and exquisite meals. Gameplay: Leon is a melee assain type character. He uses his sabre to hack and slash his enemies. He can turn invisible and make a fake copy of him to fool his enemies. He is good for stopping enemies while the team breaks the opponents turret.
Clunk is a robot suffering from anger management issues. He’s saving up money to pay for therapy but keeps losing it due to damage compensations. Originally created as part of a robot army to combat an immensely powerful super villain terrorizing the outer star systems, Clunk found himself without a job when the villain accidentally died of a nasty bacterial infection before the robot army was completed.
Voltar the Omniscient: Voltar was a scientist who worked in an intergalactic power station. Suddenly an explosion happened which destroyed nearly all of his body except for his brain. But somehow he has little flying robot droid minions to work for him. Then his droids then build a robot body for Voltar. He then builds a healing ray for his brain to heal his teammates.
Yuri: Yuri was a monkey who was tested to go to space. He was then lost and couldn’t find a way back. But what the humans didn’t know was that he was incredibly smart. Then he built a time machine to go back in time and break free. Next he built a jetpack with a laser on it for some unknown reason and joined the awesomenauts. His specialty is to fly in the air with his jetpack for as long as he wants to. He can also use his laser from a safe distance and fly on top of people without taking damage. He is good at escaping and helping people with defeating enemies.
Rock of ages is a game you can buy on steam. You play as Sisyphus and his bolder from the Greek myth. You verse famous people through history like Napoleon, Leonardo Da Vinci and Henry the VIII. The aim of the game is to defend your castle and to move your bolder and smash through your opponents door. Once you have revealed the person inside you get to squish them, and win the level. There are also bosses you can fight like the Dragon, Statue of David, a Baby head with wings and Hades which becomes Saturn. I really enjoyed this game, it was fun to play and had a simple but great story. I also played it with my friend and we battled with each other.
At school we play a game called civilisation IV. I am playing as George Washington. Recently i’ve been attacked by Barbarians. I sent my men to fight them but they were to strong. So i decided to wait until i have more men. Also i have done some trades with nearby civilisations. I still don’t know how to play properly, but i sort of got the hang of it. I’m mostly trying to build some famous structures.
